About Enchantment of the Dance
The embrace of performing arts and the ever-evolving culture of Irish dance has inspired dance troupes around the globe to revive Irish Dance. For many years, audiences have been amazed by Irish Dancers in shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. These productions updated Irish Dance and encouraged more step dancers to focus on performance.
Enchantment of the Dance begins with a powerful rhythmic number "The Waking Up Set" in which the dancers move together flawlessly. Next, the soothing melodies and graceful movement of the female "Windancers" instill a feeling of joy and tranquility. After experiencing several other enchanting dances, including Celtic "Funk," audiences are taken to a small town in Ireland to the local watering hole, The Golden Stud. The second act of the show certainly tops the first, with high energy, and visually stimulating choreography "Illuminations", a carefully selected variety of music takes audiences to the very foundation of Irish Dance. Our culture and tradition is passed down in stories, music, and dance, and elegantly transformed in this full length production.
Our company troupe shines in Enchantment of the Dance showcasing a variety of talents throughout the production. On stage, dancers portray the elegance and rhythm of the dance, and several of the dancers' contributions of choreography give the show a compelling variety of creative movements. Many of the dancers also contributed to costume design and production.
Although Enchantment of the Dance is a brand new tour, the troupe members are not shy to the stage. As members of the Rebel Heart Irish Dancers, these star performers have been highlighted in over 450 shows, from Central Pennsylvania to New Jersey, Ohio, Georgia, Montana and California. They have been featured in concerts with recognized musicians including Celtic Crossroads and Scythian.

The Cast
The cast of Enchantment consists of a small group of RHID dancers who are referred to as The Company. Members of this elite group audition to be a part of this production and represent the best of our troupe.
